Kirkstall Abbey
Founded in 1152, Kirkstall Abbey was a Cistercian monastery for over four hundred years. Located just three miles from Leeds city centre, this iconic landmark hosts a range of public events throughout the year, including outdoor performances of Shakespeare and Classical Fantasia which sees spectacular performances by Northern Ballet Theatre Orchestra and Opera North set against lit backdrop ruins of the Abbey.
